Frequently asked questions

How do I increment a counter?

Double-tap any counter card on the main screen. You can also increment directly from a widget on your Home Screen — no need to open the app.

How do I undo an accidental tap?

Long-press the counter card and choose Undo Last Action. This removes the most recent increment (or reset) from your history.

How do I add a widget?

Long-press your iPhone Home Screen → tap + in the top corner → search for Cute Count → choose a size (small, medium, or large) → tap Add Widget. You can then tap Edit Widget to choose which counters appear.

Why isn't my widget updating?

Widgets refresh automatically. If a count looks stale, open the app once — this syncs the latest data to the widget. If you incremented via the widget and the count in the app is behind, open the app and it will apply the pending changes automatically.

My counters aren't syncing between devices

Cute Count uses iCloud to sync. Make sure you are signed into the same Apple ID on both devices and that iCloud is enabled. Check Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → iCloud Drive and ensure it is on. Sync can take a few minutes after changes, especially on a slow connection.

How do I restore my purchase?

Go to Settings (gear icon) inside the app → tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you are signed into the same Apple ID you used when you originally purchased.

Can I delete a counter and keep its history?

Yes — long-press the counter → choose Archive. Archived counters and all their history are preserved and can be restored at any time from Settings → Archived Counters. Only Delete permanently removes a counter and its history.

How do I reset a counter to zero without losing history?

Long-press the counter → choose Reset Counter. The count returns to zero and a reset event is recorded in the history — your previous counts are fully preserved in the chart and statistics.

What is a Genmoji?

Genmoji are AI-generated emoji available on iPhone 16 and later running iOS 18.2 or newer. In Cute Count, you can use a Genmoji as the icon for any counter. To add one, tap the emoji field in the counter editor and use the Genmoji keyboard.
